My first 3D printer was an Artillery Genius. It was a great start into the hobby, but I eventually realised its limits. After modding it like a mad scientist, I soon needed more printers, and it wasn't long before I filled the garage. My first major project was a 2-metre-long T-Rex skeleton. On the dining room table, with a cup of shoe polish, dirt, and some PVA glue, I weathered and stained the bones. You can only imagine the look on my wife's face when she came home.
Safe to say, I was hooked. When I chose to print a 1:1 T-Rex skull, I opened a can of worms that led to where we are now.
I've been printing and 3d modelling for seven years and have built up a knowledge base that I love to share with people who want to hear it.
I've helped friends and family open their minds to 3D printing and what it can do for any hobby.
I've made every mistake more than once, and I will make plenty more. But if there's one thing the past seven years has taught me, it’s that it’s more fun when you can learn from others while helping others learn.
